The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, the Small Business Development Center, the Small Business Administration, and the Idaho Innovation Center are jointly hosting an all-day Intellectual Property & Inventors Conference March 28, 2018, in Idaho Falls. Speakers will include:

Elizabeth Schierman – Patent and Trademark Attorney with TraskBritt, P.C. (Boise, ID)
Topics covered will include an overview of intellectual property, funding options for entrepreneurs, getting a start-up off the ground, patent basics, trademark and branding strategies, and copyright registration advantages. Ms. Schierman’s presentations will focus on trademark and branding strategies and the benefits of copyright registration. She will also be available to answer questions in other areas of intellectual property practice, including her primary practice area of patent prosecution.
Ms. Schierman lives and works in Boise, Idaho, where her practice with TraskBritt focuses on domestic and foreign patent and trademark prosecution for clients that include multinational corporations as well as entrepreneurs. She is a two-time past Chair of the Idaho State Bar’s Intellectual Property Law Section and is currently in a second consecutive year as the Southern Vice Chair of the Section. She is a past adjunct law professor of intellectual property law at the Boise campus of the University of Idaho College of Law and an active Advisory Board Member for the University of Idaho’s Department of Chemical and Materials Engineering.
